Introduction

It bears repeating: One Must Fall 2097 is the best fighting game ever created.

In this movie I beat all the available fights available in Tournament mode mode in the hardest difficulty. In this mode, you start with the cheapest bot "Jaguar" with no upgrades and barely enough money to join a tournament. With every fight (if you win), you advance a rank in the tournament until you fight the #1 of such tournament. Once you become the #1, you get a prize and the chance to sign up to another one.

With every fight won, you earn a fixed amount of money plus whatever bonus you scored during the fight (destruction, perfect, combos). The costs of repairing your bot is subtracted from this money (althought that doesn't happen in this movie). With the remaining money, you buy upgrades to your bot, training for yourself (you carry these with you even if you trade your bot), or new bots for trade-in. As you destroy your opponents, hidden challengers will appear mostly to avenge whoever you anihilated. These bonus challenges give the most money.

I chose to buy "Shredder" as soon as I could due to its agility and incredibly powerful and combo-able forward overhead leap attack. I spend my money all in Power and Agility, as endurance is not necessary since I didn't plan to get hit at all. Regardless of this, the game is designed to keep your opponents ahead of you in upgrades, so it doesn't matter how much you improve, the others will heavily rubberband.

Hope to enjoy watching how the fights get more violent as I get to upgrade my bot. Also, in this movie there's more time to listen to this game's amazing soundtrack.

Details:

  • Sets speed to an enjoyable setting. Anything faster is way too fast.
  • Hyper Mode (more combos and enhanced moves)
  • Single Round fights
  • I beat all fights (including secret ones) from all tournaments
  • I end all fights with Destruction, even if it does not lead to the fastest solution (entertainment / speed trade-off)
