Introduction

Street Rod 2 is very similar to its prequel, which I explain in detail in my previous submission: 10105S (TASVideos submission). This one adds more cars, two different type of races, and a special drag event. To race against The King, you have to win the special event, 6 drag races (with money on the line), 6 Mullholland races, and 6 aqueduct races. I do that in the fastest way possible.

The game itself is devilishly difficult, which is probably the reason why there are no RTA attempts in SRC. Both races contain deadly hazards with extremely large collision boxes. This includes a section of road under construction that will destroy your car if you run it over 60mph and you don't traverse it in a very narrow (unmarked) section of the road.

The King himself is extremely fast, and it doesn't help that, by the end of the game, my car's engine and transmission are both really worn. The only way for me to defeat him was to block him at every opportunity.

Bottom line: I cannot possibly see anybody can RTA this without losing sanity.

Strategy

Infinite Moneyzzzzzz

Once again, there is a way to get infinite money in this game. The key is the new negotiation feature where, if you sell your car for relatively the correct internal price, the buyer will haggle with you. If you reject their first two offers and then sell your car for approximately 22000$, the buyer will accept your counter.
